Hi list, I am trying to use RWebServices on tomcat5.5 / axis1.4 / activemq4.0.2. The axis installation seems to work. happyAxis says it's happy and the getVersion service that comes with axis correctly replies to SOAP requests. The deployment of the R web service looks o.k. at least axis lists the service and also serves the WSDL file. Yet any attempts to send a SOAP request to the service generated by RWebServices will time out, no matter whether the request is well formed XML or not. I've turned on logging, but nothing is written to the log file. Any hints on how to troubleshoot this situation would be appreciated. Best, Bastian [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Hi Bastian -- I wonder if we could trouble-shoot this off-list, and come back with an answer? I think the place to start is by checking the various locations where interfaces need to be established: R / Java, jms, web server / R front end, and to do so using the targets provided by the ant scripts in the unpacked R package It would be helpful to get some information from the system -- from the command line in the unpacked directory R -e "sessionInfo()" # so that I know which RWebServices you're using ant # general comfigurat # outputs Also when you mention looking in the logs do you mean $CATALINA_HOME/logs/catalina.out?
