Dear all, I have created a annotation package using pdInfoBuilder. It says that the package needs to be installed, but I'm not sure how to do so. I checked some of the archived responses and from my understanding, Rtools need to be used. I tried to follow the instructions on http://cran.r-project.org/doc/manuals/R-admin.html#index- install_002epackages-52 however, I'm not sure how I can use Rtool (I have downloaded and installed the programs they mentioned, but I'm not sure how to run Rtool or how to install the annotation package I made using pdInfoBuilder). Does anyone know how to do this/could anyone point me towards a tutorial? Thanks Barbara [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Hi Barbara, Take a look at Karl's tutorial: http://www.biostat.wisc.edu/~kbroman/Rintro/Rwinpack.html The directory that he refers to as 'c:\MyRpackages\qtl' is actually the pd.* directory that pdInfoBuilder created for you.
