Hi everyone, I have been trying to create a BSgenome data package for maize (as it is not available in the BSgenome package). I have prepared the seed file and downloaded the fasta sequences and then I proceeded to forge the genome. After typing R CMD check "path/to/my/tarball" the installation failed and the error file goes like this (sorry, it's in French, but I think the translation of the error message is "node stack overflow") * installing *source* package 'BSgenome_zm' ** R ** inst ** preparing package for lazy loading Error in match.fun(FUN) : pile de noeuds dborde vers le haut ERROR: lazy loading failed for package 'BSgenome_zm' * removing I'd appreciate some help to understand what's wrong. Thanks in advance. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Hi Sara, I'm not sure what the problem is but I would suggest you try renaming your package first. I think having an _ (underscore) in the name is not supported and is likely to cause problems. Hi Hervé, thanks for the reply. Indeed, at first I named my genome package according to the nomenclature but I didn't realize that the underscore was causing the malfunctioning. I changed the name to "BSgenome" and apparently I made things worse. I'll give it a try following your advice.
