Herve, I'm following up on an this apparently unresolved old issue/thread which persists in R-3.0.2 with contemporary released BioC... Needless to say, it 'bit' me again. I failed to remember the simple workaround of calling unlist. Do you think there is there any hope of this actually getting 'fixed' upstream R-devel? Things like this make BioC "daunting". Thanks! I am posting via gmane web archives which makes the entire thread nicely reviewable: http://bit.ly/1lAZFRN ~Malcolm

Hi Malcolm, Thanks for the reminder. Yes this is an important issue. Never really took the time to follow up on this though, sorry. I just posted something on R-devel. https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-devel/2014-February/068413.html Now light a candle, take a deep breath, and cross your fingers ;-) Cheers, H.
