Hello all, I am trying to load BioConductor on a Solaris 8 machine with the latest version of R 2.1.0 and I was halfway done with the install when I came up with this error: Loading required package: reposTools Loading required package: tools Error in load(libFile, envir = parent.frame()) : error reading from connection Error in getBioC() : Needs reposTools to continue > Now every time I try to start it I get the same error. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thank you for your time!! Trent [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Hi Trent, The subject of your email message is a bit confusing as it seems you are asking about Bioconductor installation in general and not anything limma specific. Trent J Nelson <nels1820@uidaho.edu> writes: > I am trying to load BioConductor on a Solaris 8 machine with the latest > version of R 2.1.0 and I was halfway done with the install when I came up > with this error: Only the development version (about to be released as Bioc 1.6) will work with the latet R (2.1.0). So if you are using getBioC, you need to be sure to use develOK=TRUE. + seth
