Dear all, I am doing research in bioinformatics and I was given digital data (RNA-seq) and 9 samples .1 sample is control , 3 samples related to 1 type of cancer and 5 samples related to another type of cancer .My question is : can I use 1 sample and still use DESeq2 ? For example I use 3 samples ( one type of tumor) and compare it with 1 control sample or it is impossible ? Thank you very much in advance , kindly replay .Do you have an email for correspondence please? with best regards Lidia

Yes you can use DESeq2 as long as some group has replicates. However, as with all statistical methods, your power will be very low.
