Hi,

I wonder how do you get to default settings with RCy3, after using functions such as, for instance:

setNodeColorMapping()
setEdgeLineWidthMapping()

Do I need to name them, then put them under mappings in a visual style, and finally remove the visual style if not happy about it?

Thanks!

David R

There is a visual style named "Default" that comes with Cytoscape. The recommended best practice is to NOT edit that style, but instead copy it and give your copy a unique name relevant to your purpose, or create a new style. You can make as many styles as you like and then switch between them or back to "Default" at any time.

Each of the style functions, like the mapping functions your listed, have a field for style.name to help you be specific about which style you are editing.

This vignette includes examples of this: https://bioconductor.org/packages/release/bioc/vignettes/RCy3/inst/doc/Cancer-networks-and-data.html#521_Visual_styles
