The release date for Bioc 3.20 is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday October 30th. The 3.20 release will use R-4.4. The following highlights important deadlines for the release.

Important deadlines can be found on the website: release schedule

As a Quick Summary:

Friday September 20: New package submission deadline. Packages will still need to pass the formal review process to be included in Release 3.20. We will try to have at least an initial review of the package if submitted by this date. Packages submitted after this date are not guaranteed to be reviewed; they will be reviewed time pending. Package reviewers are volunteer and have a limited capacity for review.

Wednesday October 9: No API changes to devel 3.20. Devel 3.20 is considered a release candidate, and changes should be limited to bug corrections only.

Tuesday October 15: Current Release 3.19 Freeze. No changes will be accepted to the Bioconductor 3.19 branch after this date.

Wednesday October 23. Newly submitted packages need to be accepted by this date to be included in the release

Friday October 25: Deadline for packages to be passing R CMD install/build/check on Bioconductor builders.

Tuesday October 29: Devel 3.20 branch is frozen to create release branch.

Wednesday October 30: Release Bioconductor 3.20

Hi Lori,

I made a bug fix to edgeR on the Bioc 3.19 branch on October 11 (probably October 10 your time) but it hasn't been percolated to the Windows release build. It seems that the latest Bioc 3.19 build checks were only performed for three out of the five usual build platforms:
