Hi,

My email is about to change, and I am the mantainner of a package (BaalChIP).

I cant find information on how to change it ( is it just an update on "DESCRIPTION" file and commit to git? )

The corresponding paper was just published 2 weeks agor, I also need to update the Bioconductor webpage with the correct citation info for the paper. But I have no idea how..

A question about package development should go to the BioC-devel mailing list (see https://www.bioconductor.org/help/support for details). But anyway, the short answer is to just update the email addresses in the DESCRIPTION file. Citation information is pulled down from the inst/CITATION file, see https://github.com/Bioconductor-mirror/edgeR/blob/master/inst/CITATION for an example.

Also, It's best to ensure that the email address in DESCRIPTION matches up to that of your support site account, as BiocCheck checks for that - see Section 5.20 of https://www.bioconductor.org/packages/release/bioc/vignettes/BiocCheck/inst/doc/BiocCheck.html#support-site-registration-check. Same goes for the BioC-devel mailing list, actually.

Thank you Aaron,

Do I commit changes to my gitHub page - devel branch (https://github.com/InesdeSantiago/BaalChIP/tree/devel)?

I also posted this question in Bioc-devel (https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/bioc-devel/2017-March/010590.html)
