Can't post a question containing code?

I can't seem to post a question - it just fills with red. I made sure there are not unusual characters (at least in the text bits) but I can't get this to work.

I have seen this previous question but it did not help me solve the problem.

Use single backticks for inline code. ``` is for code chunks.

Also, it would be a good idea to review the posting guide and tutorial post links that show up in the screenshots.

Edit: it looks like the right set of quotation marks after "repeated measures" might be the problem. Do you get an ASCII error?

hiya - still not working.

changed the `` to, changed the " ". i've looked at the posting guide and tutorial - first place I looked when I got the red box.

There is no specific error coming up (e.g. ASCII)

I was advised that the problem was because I had copied the text from my notes app on my mac.

I am not sure this is the case, I had the same problem and I copied code from an Ubuntu computer in a Firefox browser.
