If you're interested in becoming more involved in the Bioconductor project, particularly in the area of community building (e.g. conference and meet-up organisation / helping new users / promoting Bioconductor via social media etc.), then you're in luck, as the newly created Bioconductor Community Advisory Board is seeking its first members.
To reflect the diverse background of members of the Bioconductor community, we are seeking broad representation in terms of gender, ethnicity, geographical location, career stage, experience levels etc.

For those of you reading the draft terms of the Community Advisory Board linked from the nomination form, I found information here about the Technical Advisory Board and in particular the governance document that the draft terms references to in multiple occasions.
