Dear All:
I would like to announce two week-long short courses on quantitative mass spectrometry-based proteomics that are now accepting applications.
The first course will take place on May 18-22, 2015 at Northeastern University in Boston. The course will span discovery and targeted workflows, and will have a strong emphasis on computational and statistical methods. More information is at http://olga-vitek-lab.org/neu-short-course/
The second course will take place on June 22-26, 2015 at ETH Zurich. The course will focus on targeted workflows, and will discuss both experimental aspects and computation. More information is at http://www.srmcourse.ch/index.html
Both courses will include keynote presentations, theoretical introductory lectures, practical hands-on exercises, and informal discussions. The courses are appropriate for experimentalists who would like to strengthen their computational and statistical expertise, but also for computational sciences and statisticians who would like to learn more about the nature of proteomic data.
Sincerely
Olga Vitek

Could you or Brendan expand on what types of proteomic workflows will be addressed. Specifically, will it go beyond skyline and spectral library based approaches? I apologize if this was elaborated on in one of the announcements. Thanks.
