This postdoctoral fellowship position is available in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of St Andrews to lead on the analysis of the proteomics component of the Cancer-Research UK-funded Prostate ICGC project. This project has generated many types of molecular data for the patient cohort being studied, that sit alongside rich clinical and pathological information. With money from the Scottish Funding Council, we are now generating additional proteomic data from multiple mass-spectrometry technologies and wish to appoint somebody who can take those data and use them to improve our understanding of prostate cancer in a collaborative manner.
The successful candidate will have access to career development opportunities and training from both the School of Mathematics and Statistics and the School of Medicine. As well as colleagues in the Statistics Division (Maths and Stats) and Cellular Medicine Division (Medicine) at St Andrews, the post-holder will be working with the broader Prostate ICGC group and the Pan Prostate Cancer Group (www.panprostate.org).
